Samiam - Mexico

You wanna be some place warm,
Probably Mexico,
Even though it's really not that cold.
You been planning a girl-girl trip in a motor home.
You wanna see how it feels to leave.

You wanted to see just how good it feels to leave,
Never mind the mess you left behind.
You wanted to see just how good it feels to leave,
To leave everything behind.

A chance to breathe,
A little time of your own,
It don't really matter where you’re going.
I’ll buy you some magazines,
You can call me from the roadside phone,
Let me know when you're coming home.

You know where to find me.
Whenever you decide.
And you know that I’ll be here when you get home...
Do you know if I’ll be here?

You wanted to see just how good it feels to leave,
Never mind the mess you left behind.
You wanted to see just how good it feels to leave.

Hmmm kinda sounds like what I went through when I turned 18. After I left I realized that where I wanted to be is where I ran from. And now I have no choice in going back for at least another year. I feel that everyone I care about is passing by in life and that our friendships will fade with the time apart and that is the thing that kills me the most.

i think that we all can relate to these lyrics... kind of "the grass is always greener" type thing. as crappy as your situation is farva, i think that you are extremely lucky to have learned such a lesson so early in your life. one more year... seems a long time, but compared to a lifetime it is a moment. friendships change (notice i didnt say 'fade) - whether or not you are apart... they just do. friends come & they go, sometimes they come back; they change. this is life. whether you are in germany, or away at college, or you get married... there is always something that changes the dynamics of friendships. it doesnt mean they dont exist. the real ones will be there when you return, the others are making space for new ones - of which there will be plenty.
thanks for these lyrics... i was actually surprised that it was you that posted them.
